Salvation Army Aims to Match a Generous Donation by Missouri Couple

Several hundred dollars and hundreds of non-perishable food items have been donated to the Salvation Army’s Food Pantry.

The goal for this year is to match $6,000, that money was donated by a Missouri Couple who visits Ludington in the summers.

The couple started a yearly donation in the summer of 2014.

Last year the campaign raised a total of $24,000 Dollars.

“We always strive no matter what when there’s a need to be able to meet that need,” said John Miller who is on the Advisory Board. “So with these resources and knowing that the whole community is getting behind it when we find that need it provides the resources."

This year’s pantry challenge will wrap up on September 15.
