Missouri Man Faces Charges for Assault in Midland County

A Missouri man faces charges here in Northern Michigan after police say he pointed a gun at another man in Midland County.

Deputies say it happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at a house on West Miller Road in Greendale Township.

A Montcalm County man says he was going to his in-law’s home to speak with his wife.

When he arrived, he got into an argument with the Missouri man, who he says pointed a gun at him.

The Montcalm man was able to get the gun away from the other man, and left to call police.

The Missouri man was later arrested and taken to the Midland County Jail.

He’s now facing charges for felonious assault and destruction of property.
