Senator Debbie Stabenow Honored With Special Award
Senator Debbie Stabenow was in Northern Michigan Tuesday to be honored with a special award.
She received the Michigan Association of Broadcaster’s Lifetime of Distinguished Public Service award.
Along with doing many things for our state, she made history 17 years ago when she was the first woman from our state to be elected to the U.S. Senate.
She says being someone that has grown up in Michigan and raised her family here, it is truly an honor.
“I really view both what our local broadcasters do, radio and television, as well as what I’m privileged to do as being public service, how do we work together to solve problems to get things done for people,” said Senator Stabenow.
She joins several other Michigan Senators, Congressmen and Congresswomen to receive the MAB honor.
