Search Crews Find Remains of Missing U.S. Navy Sailors in USS John McCain

In this update, search crews say they have found the remains at several of the U.S. Navy sailors who went missing off the coast of Singapore.

On Monday, the USS John S. McCain collided with an oil tanker in Southeast Asian waters.

The crash left 10 sailors missing.

At a news conference Tuesday morning, the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet confirmed that “a number” of remains of U.S. Navy sailors were found in one of the flooded compartments of the McCain ship.

Five sailors were hurt in the crash.

Right now, it’s not clear which vessel is to blame.
