Gladwin County Deputies Investigating Armed Robbery

The Gladwin County Sheriff’s office is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station market.

Deputies say the suspect was armed with a knife.

They say the armed robbery happened Tuesday morning at the Beacon & Bridge Market at the intersection of M-30 and M-61.

Two woman at the store say a man came in wearing a mask, asking them to open up the cash drawer.

A clerk says the man then turned around and grabbed some cigarettes.

According to the clerk, that’s when she grabbed him and shoved him again the ice cream chest.

The store manager was nearby and started helping her.

During the struggle, the store manager says a knife flew out of his pocket and that’s when they decided to let him go.

Deputies say they do have a suspect and are working on getting warrants to arrest the man.
