West Virginia Governor Announces Plan to Switch Political Parties

West Virginia’s Governor has announced he’s making a major political change.

Previously Democratic Governor Jim Justice took the stage at a rally for President Trump Thursday night in Huntington, where he stunned the crowd with the news that he plans to become a Republican.

During last year’s election campaign, Justice refused to endorse Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for president.

Justice’s switch in political party now means 35 of the 50 states have Republican governors.
