US Flies B-1 Bombers Over Korean Peninsula Following N. Korea Missile Test

The U.S. flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean peninsula in response to North Korea’s latest missile test.

North Korea fired a ballistic missile Friday, which experts say may have had the ability to reach New York City.

The U.S. response was a planned test of the THAAD missile defense program in Alaska.

The B-1 bombers flown by the U.S. are meant to intercept any ballistic missiles fired at the country.

North Korea said if the U.S. "continues to resort to military adventure and tough sanctions, the DPRK will respond with its resolute action of justice."
