Los Angeles Reaches Agreement to Host 2028 Olympic Summer Games
Los Angeles reached an agreement, clearing the way for the city to host the 2028 Olympic Summer Games.
The deal was confirmed Monday by the Los Angeles City Council president’s office.
The agreement follows a previous vote by the International Olympic Committee to seek a deal for the 2024 and 2028 games.
Paris is widely seen as the favorite for 2024. With the agreement, Los Angeles would host the summer games of 2028.
The deal would make L.A. a three-time Olympic city after hosting the 1932 and 1984 games.
