Two More Republican Senators Withdraw Support Halting GOP Healthcare Bill

The GOP healthcare bill came to an abrupt stop as two more Senate Republicans withdrew their support of the legislation.

Just hours after the Senate went back into session Monday, Republican U.S. senators Jerry Moran and Mike Lee announced they will not support the latest version of the GOP bill.

That makes them the third and fourth Republican senators to oppose the bill, preventing Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell from being able to push forward with plans to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

Regardless, McConnell says that even without a plan to replace the ACA, the Senate will still vote to repeal it.
