A Lake City man is recovering after police say he crashed his car into a garage.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says the man missed a stop sign on Oak Street in Evart and came careening into a private driveway, ultimately crashing into a family’s garage and hitting two cars parked inside.
One of those vehicles was pushed up against a wall connected to the house.
The sheriff says the homeowners were asleep at the time and were not hurt.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say he may have been drinking.
They are still investigating the crash.
