Reed City Man Honored for Saving Man’s Life Twice in Six Months

A Reed City man is being hailed a hero for saving a man’s life twice in six months.

The man was awarded the Lifesaving Award in Evart Friday.

Bob Fulmerhouser works for the Osceola Commission on Aging delivering meals to senior citizens.

Bob found the man, Peter, the first time at his home suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Months later, Bob found Peter again after he had fallen and hurt himself.

He was suffering from hypothermia.

First responders say that if Bob had not warmed Peter up he would have died.

“There’s awful good people out there and you can tell. What makes you feel good about it is they appreciate it. They appreciate the meal and I appreciate them,” said Bob.

This is the first time the Osceola Commission on Aging has had an employee earn the award.

Bob says he is just happy to help out.
