President Trump defended his son while in Paris on Thursday, talking about the meeting with a Russian lawyer who promised dirt on Hillary Clinton.
The president says he believes anyone would have taken that meeting, and insists Russia wanted Clinton to win, not him.
The claims go against intelligence reports detailing conversations with Russian officials about helping Trump win the election.
CBS News has also learned investigators are now trying to determine whether the Trump campaign’s digital team coordinated with the Russians to push fake news.
In charge, the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
