Munson Medical Center Nurses Receive Necessary Signatures to Petition to Form Union

According to the National Labor Relations Board, nurses at Munson Medical Center have received the required number of signatures to petition to form a union.

We have been following this story since May when the Michigan Nurses Association filed allegations of unfair labor practices against the health care provider.

Some pro-union nurses reported staff using intimidation tactics against them, something the hospital denies.

The process is lengthy but the petition would ultimately be submitted to the NLRB.

We did speak with the president of Munson Medical Center who says they feel introducing a third party would impact their ability to collaborate and solve problems together moving forward.
