Otsego Memorial Hospital and Munson Healthcare are working to strengthen their relationship, and say it could improve care.
The hospital and Munson approved an integration plan that would allow closer affiliation between the two.
This new agreement allows leaders from both to move into a due-diligence phase, where they will plan for full integration and address challenges like human resources, facilities and financial records.
OMH and Munson are also discussing the possibility of creating an eastern region of Munson healthcare, that would be served by both OMH and Munson Healthcare Grayling hospital.
