Ford Replacing CEO Mark Fields

Ford is replacing its CEO after questions about the auto-maker’s performance and future.

Mark Fields is retiring after nearly 30 years with Ford.

He will be replaced by Jim Hackett, who joined Ford in 2013.

He has led the company’s mobility unit since last year.

Fields is credited with helping lead Ford’s turnaround a decade ago as president of its Americas division, but the company’s stock has dropped nearly 40 percent in the three years since he became CEO.
