Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital Faces Minor Flood

Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital had a messy situation this morning, flooding on the fourth floor.

It happened around seven Wednesday morning when a valve failed, setting off some fire sprinklers.

Water from the sprinklers sprayed all over a wing on the fourth floor.

Water then trickled down through the floors to the third, second and first floors.

The damaged wing was mostly office space.

The hospital is looking at mostly carpet and drywall damage.

Luckily patients were not affected and the hospital was able to resume their usual day.

“We were very fortunate that it was the C wing of the hospital. We did relocate patients on the third flood from one side to the other just as a precaution, but they were never impacted in terms of water in that space, we just wanted to be safe,” says Tonya Smith, President of Munson Healthcare Cadillac.

Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital will be assessing the damage through the end of the week.
