Leelanau Co. Commissioners Discuss Future of Senior Services

Discussion continued Tuesday morning about the future of senior services in Leelanau County.

Senior services gets funding from a 2002 millage.

Last month, Leelanau County Commissioners projected a $130,000 deficit in the senior services budget.

Commissioners moved $65,000 from the general fund to help out but also brought up possible cuts to the service.

No decision on cuts was made at the commission meeting.

They’re looking for more information from senior services.
