Cadillac-Wexford Transit Authority Seeks Public Vote On New Name

A Northern Michigan public transportation service is looking to get a makeover.

The Cadillac-Wexford Transit Authority is asking for the community’s help.

The current logo and name have been there since the early 80s.

Now they are looking for a new name, and asking for people to vote on which one they like best.

The process started with 50 options and has been narrowed down to just three: WexExpress, WexRide and EasyRide.

“Our ridership is growing,” says CWTA Executive Director, Carrie Thompson. “We’ve seen really big jumps in ridership the last two years, and so we want to grow with the community as well, and want to be seen as a viable option in the future. And to do that, we have to have a fresh image and look like we belong in the community."

Voting ends on May 31.
