Update: Two Injured in Gladwin County House Explosion

A house exploded in Gladwin County overnight, sending a couple to the hospital.

The Butman fire chief says a house exploded just north of Gladwin.

The couple inside was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Fire crews say someone was drilling a hole through a wall inside of the home to the outside of the home.

They were using a motor drill when they hit a propane tank and the home exploded.

The building is destroyed and the blast damaged two other buildings due to the intense heat radiating from it.

Right now crews are not calling it suspicious.

The couple is out of the hospital.
