Mount Pleasant’s Broadway Theatre Reopens Following Carbon Monoxide Leak

In this update, a staple of the Mount Pleasant community has opened its doors to the public again.

The Broadway Theatre in downtown Mount Pleasant is back open after a carbon monoxide leak forced them to shut down.

The issue has been fixed and managers are happy to be back in production.

They say having the Broadway open is about more than plays.

“I’m always trying to say that it is our community theater. And community theater takes an entire community to keep it running. We can’t just have a handful of people who support the theater, you need the entire community behind you,” Lindsey Read-Smith said.

The Broadway will put on Aladdin Junior for the next two weekends.
