Advocates To Launch Ballot Drive To Legalize Recreational Marijuana In MI

Advocates are launching a ballot drive Friday to make recreational marijuana legal in Michigan.

The Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol plans to file ballot language with the state on Friday.

The ballot committee will need more than 250,000 valid voter signatures to qualify for the November 2018 statewide ballot.

In 2008 Michigan voters legalized medical marijuana.

So far eight states have fully legalized marijuana.
