Nestle Appealing Decision Over Building Booster Pump in Osceola County

Nestle is appealing a decision that halted it from building a booster pump in Osceola County.

Nestle wants to increase the amount of water it can take from a well in Evart from 250 gallons per minute to 400.

Back on April 18 Osceola Township denied Nestle’s request to build a booster pump.

Commissioners looked at whether the pump met requirements for public necessity and convenience in the township.

The Michigan DEQ is still considering Nestle’s request to increase the amount of water it’s allowed to pump.
