A bill that would make it a crime to intentionally shine a laser at an aircraft is headed to the governor’s desk.
Pointing a laser can temporarily blind a pilot.
It’s currently a federal crime, but Michigan State Police say a state law would help stop laser strikes and help authorities catch those responsible.
The bill passed the House Tuesday and heads to Governor Snyder for his signature.
