Michigan Tech Student Who Died Hiking in Upper Peninsula Identified

We have an update out of Marquette County.

We know the name of a man who died on a hiking trip.

The sheriff’s department says Marcus Antilla was one of six students from Michigan Tech camping in the Rocking Chair Lakes area when he went looking for firewood.

He didn’t come back and his friends found him wet and cold.

His friends called 911 about 4:30 Saturday morning after getting to the top of a bluff where a cellphone signal could be reached.

Antilla died a few hours later.
