Traverse City Commissioners Choose Attorneys To Represent In Developer Lawsuit

In this update, Traverse City leaders agreed on two attorneys to defend against a lawsuit Monday night.

City commissioners chose James Young and Richard Wilson to represent them in the suit filed by developer, 326 Land Company LLC.

326 wants to build a building taller than sixty feet on State Street.

They are suing the city because they say it is not legal under Proposal Three to let people vote on a zoning issue.

But the group Save Our Downtown says the height restrictions are not a part of zoning.
