Former Shelby Police Chief Pleads Guilty To Embezzlement
The former Oceana County police chief admitted to stealing tens of thousands of dollars.
Monday, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced former Shelby police chief, Robert Wilson, pleaded guilty to embezzlement and motor vehicle-false certification.
Investigators say Wilson performed almost 700 salvage vehicle inspections from December 2013 to November 2015.
He was paid $100 for each.
He’s accused of not turning over the fees to the village.
Wilson will be sentenced in June.
