In this update, the Clare County probate court employee accused of drinking and driving and running from police took a plea deal.
Steffi Brasington pleaded guilty to fleeing and eluding and driving while intoxicated.
She has a delayed sentencing.
If she doesn’t violate probation, the charge of fleeing and eluding will be dismissed.
Brasington will also get credit for the driving while intoxicated charge for any time she spends in treatment.
Her sentencing date has not been set.
