Roseville Man Fighting Ticket for Leaving Car Running in Driveway Loses in Court

For months a Michigan man fought a ticket for leaving his car running in his driveway to warm it up.

Friday, we learned he lost.

Northern Michigan’s News Leader first brought you this story back in January.

Taylor Trupiano, from Roseville, has been fighting the $125 ticket for more than four months.

A judge says, in his Detroit suburb, it’s not legal if no one’s behind the wheel.

The story went viral when Taylor posted a photo of the ticket on Facebook.

It was shared more than 6,000 times.

Things got heated in court after Taylor’s attorney, Nicholas Somberg admitted to having someone Facebook Live the hearing.

Somberg was held for contempt.

Someone paid Trupiano’s ticket for him, but the court hasn’t decided yet whether to accept the payment.
