CMU Research Corporation Announces New Location In Saginaw

A piece of a university’s entrepreneurship expertise is opening doors in a new location.

The Central Michigan University Research Corporation announced their next big step Thursday.

They are setting up a new place for businesses and entrepreneurs to get access to what they do best.

CMU-RC in Mount Pleasant says their location takes them to Saginaw, in the former headquarters of Saginaw News.

Working with the Saginaw Valley RC Marketplace, the corporation plans to make its programs and services easy to access in a third location, the second being bay city.

They hope CMU’s resources will help revitalize downtown Saginaw.

"We’re really excited about the new location in Saginaw because it’s really part of a transformational project that’s underway through the SVRC marketplace, so we are just one little piece of this big vision for downtown Saginaw,” Erin Strang, president and CEO of CMU Research Corp. said.

The project is currently under construction in Saginaw and will be done next year.
