Northwest Michigan Works! Hosts Annual IT Job Fair In Traverse City

A job fair in Traverse City is offering career opportunities for Northern Michigan.

Northwest Michigan Works! is teaming up with Networks Northwest and Northwestern Michigan College for their 6th annual IT Career Fair on Monday.

There will be between 15 and 20 employers who are looking to hire information technology employees.

More than 50 positions are available.

They are encouraging everyone interested in IT to bring in their resume.

There will also be representatives from NMC and Ferris State University providing information on education and training they offer within the field.

“If you have just a passing interest and you want to find out if this is where you want to head, I say come on down because the employers are going to be willing to talk to you and there’s a lot of schools that are going to be there that can put you on a pathway to that industry,” says Northwest Michigan Works! Business Liaison, Rob Dickinson.

The fair is Monday at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.

It’s scheduled to go from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
