Vermont Nearing Deal To Move 250 Inmates From Baldwin Prison To Pennsylvania

We have a big update tied to GEO prison in Lake County.

Vermont is nearing a deal to move about 250 of its inmates from the privately-run Baldwin facility to a public prison in Pennsylvania.

Vermont has been looking for new housing for its GEO inmates since December.

That’s when GEO sent a letter to Vermont corrections officials announcing it were ending its contract in June.
