A semi-truck driver is in the hospital after state police say the truck rolled, trapping the driver inside.

Troopers say it happened Thursday night when a semi was traveling on M-69 in Delta County’s Bark Township and failed to make a turn.

The truck went off the road, hit several trees, crashed into a house, rolled over and finally stopped on the semi’s roof.

The driver was removed from the truck and flown to U.P. Health Systems.

The home hit by the semi was unoccupied but was damaged.

Power lines were also taken down as a result of the crash.

The driver is from Ontario, Canada and is not being identified at this time.

Troopers are still investigating the crash and believe speed was a factor.
