Mackinac Co. Deputies Continue Looking For Man Accused of Trying To Abduct Boy

Do you recognize the man in this sketch?

The Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office says this is the person who tried to abduct a 12-year-old boy from Engadine back on March 27.

A state police forensic artist just finished up a sketch for the man they are looking for.

The boy says he was approached by a 45- to 60-year-old man, asking if the boy would help him find his lost dog.

The boy says the man has black and gray hair and a scar on his face.

The vehicle was described as a black or dark gray 1997 to 2003 Dodge Durango with running boards.

“It actually captures what is in the victim’s mind, what they’ve seen. I don’t think you’ll ever have a perfect 100 percent match, but this will help narrow it down,” says Undersheriff Ed Wilk. “This might help somebody recognize, ‘oh, hey, that’s my neighbor that lives down the way’, even if it turns out to be nothing, like a mistaken identity, at least we can rule them out.”

If you think you know the person, you’re asked to call the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (906) 643-1165.
