With the warm weather this weekend, some water based businesses are itching to start their busy summer season.
The River Outfitters in Traverse City rents out kayaks, bikes and stand up paddle boards.
They are still on an on-call basis but with the warm up this weekend, they are hoping to be hopping.
They weren’t expecting many bookings in the spring, but are excited to kick off the summer early.
“We initially didn’t think we’d have any business this weekend obviously because it’s still spring, it’s still early but in the last few days we’ve had a lot of bookings so it looks like the seasons started which we’re so excited about and we’re so ready for,” said Fisher Sutherland, owner of the River Outfitters.
