DNR Sponsors Michigan Fish Population Workshops

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring a series of spring workshops on Michigan water fish populations.

The events are aimed at providing information about the status of fish populations in Michigan’s Great Lakes and Lake St. Clair.

The DNR is putting on the events with other agencies and local organizations, including Michigan Sea Grant and the U.S. Geological Survey’s Great Lakes Science Center.

The workshops will focus on things like fish survey numbers, angler catch data, invasive species and fisheries management.

The workshops are free and open to the public but most of them require pre-registration.
