TBAISD Career-Tech Center Students Network with Professionals at Career Fair

Local high school students had the opportunity Wednesday to network with more than 50 professionals.

The Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District held their 10th Annual Career Fair at the Career-Tech Center.

More than 600 local high school juniors and seniors were able to share their resumes and learn more about the job industry they’re interested in.

Students say it’s a great time to look for summer jobs and improve their communication skills.

“I’m in the early childhood education program here and at the career fair every year they have a bunch of job opportunities at Munson or schools or Third Level where you can get hands on activities with children or just working in the community with children,” says Anna Arnold, senior at Traverse City Central High School. “So it’s really helpful.”

The Career-Tech Center says every year some students leave the fair with a job offer.
