Cheboygan County’s First K-9 Retires

Cheboygan County’s first K-9 is saying goodbye to the job.

Taser, the German shepherd, became the county’s first K-9 deputy ten years ago.

Now 12-years-old, he officially retired Sunday.

Since joining the team, Taser has been on hundreds of calls from missing people, fleeing felons and drug searches, to community relations and school functions.

Taser will now spend his golden years at home with Deputy Lacross.
