The world’s oldest and most experienced spacewoman just set a new record for spacewalking.
NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, age 57, floated out on the eighth spacewalk of her career Thursday morning.
That’s the most spacewalks ever performed by a woman.
Whitman has been in orbit since November.
She and astronaut Shane Kimbrough were working on setting up a docking port.
NASA is also set to launch a new telescope that is being touted as the biggest and most powerful telescope ever built.
