Kellogg’s Battle Creek Workers Hospitalized After Chemical Leak

Workers from Kellogg’s Battle Creek headquarters had to be hospitalized after a suspected Freon leak.

The building was evacuated Wednesday morning around 10:45.

No one appeared to be seriously injured.

Video shows fire crews and trucks posted outside the building.

Workers inside were taken to the hospital as a precaution, some had problems breathing.

The cereal giant has not identified the source of the leak.

Freon is a gas or liquid typically used as a refrigerant.
