Woman Sentenced To Jail For Embezzling From Northern Michigan School Booster Group
A woman who admitted to stealing money from a Northern Michigan booster is now going to jail.
The woman pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $200 but less than $1,000 last year from the Atlanta Schools booster group.
Darlene Cordes was sentenced to 90 days in jail Tuesday.
She must also pay back the money she stole.
Cordes was the only one responsible for the booster’s finances when she stole the money.
She was caught when the school’s bank statements showed money going into her personal account.
