A man admitted to trying to set fire to a house.
The fire happened back in August in Cadillac.
On Tuesday, Cole Spears pleaded guilty to attempted arson and being a habitual offender.
As part of his plea deal, first-degree arson charges were dismissed.
The house was set up as apartments. Firefighters were able to put out the fire in the entryway before it spread.
