John Kerry: Two-State Solution Only Way To Achieve Peace Between Israelis, Palestinians

"The two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace between the Israelis and Palestinians."

Secretary of State John Kerry is laying out the Obama Administration’s vision to a path for peace in the Middle East.

Israel’s prime minister called the speech "a great disappointment."

The U.S. recently chose not to veto a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

"The vote in the United Nations was about preserving the two-state solution. That’s what we were standup up for, Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state, living side-by-side in peace and security with their neighbors,” said Kerry.

President-elect Donald Trump criticizing the Obama Administration’s stance.

Wednesday morning, Trump tweeted, "We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect. They used to have a great friend in the U.S. but…….not anymore. The beginning of the end was the horrible Iran deal, and now this (U.N.)! Stay strong Israel, January 20th is fast approaching!"
