A record-breaking high temperature in Traverse City on Monday did not stop people from skiing.
Sunshine helped, and was perfect for those who prefer warmer skiing.
Hickory Hills in Traverse City says from sun up to sun down, Monday was a busy day.
They say they were worried about snow melting, but instead it brought a least a hundred more people out to the slopes.
Typically, the day after Christmas is busy at Hickory Hills.
“We did a lot of rentals, there were people from out of town that I think had it been a little colder they may not have decided to come so I think the warm weather brought some of those people out,” says Hickory Hills manager, Barry Smith.
Hickory Hills says it will continue making snow when it can and is waiting on more fresh snow to fall.
