Health Officials Confirm 16th Case of Legionnaires’ in Genesee County

Health officials say another case of legionnaires’ disease has been reported in Genesee County.

This is the 16th case reported so far this year in the county.

Legionnaires’ disease is a very rare type of pneumonia caused by bacteria.

The Genesee County Health Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the attorney general’s office are investigating the case.
