The 2-1-1 information service phone number is now available across the state of Michigan.
The Michigan Public Service Commission announced Tuesday that the information service was approved for St. Clair County.
That approval means the 2-1-1 service is available across the entire state.
The 2-1-1 phone number is designed to connect people with services, like energy assistance.
It can also be used during severe weather and a crisis.
There are eight community resource call centers in Michigan.
