State Attorney General To Announce Additional Criminal Charges In Flint Water Crisis

The State Attorney General is announcing more criminal charges in the Flint water investigation.

Attorney General Bill Schuette has scheduled a news conference for 10:30 Tuesday morning where he will announce the third round of criminal charges.

So far, nine people have been charged in the investigation into Flint’s lead-tainted water system.

They include eight current or former state employees and a Flint water plant employee.

Flint’s water system became contaminated with lead after water from the Flint River wasn’t properly treated for corrosion.
