There will not be a recount in Emmet County over a deer park.
The board of canvassers says they won’t allow the recount involving the Harbor Springs Deer Park because of the containers the ballots were stored in.
The city says they’re now being told the canisters they’ve been using for years do not meet the state’s security standards.
It’s all because of the open slot on the top.
The city says they are now searching for new canisters that meet the guidelines, and that means the deer park will be allowed to remain in the city.
