First Responders Honored In Cadillac

A special tribute to honor those who put their lives on the line to protect us.

First responders in Cadillac received a special dedication from their community Monday afternoon.

Police, firefighters, EMTs on the city, county, township and state level lined the corner of Harris and Mitchell streets in downtown Cadillac.

Community members gathered to thank them for keeping people safe.

"It was about their families. Bring their families here, letting them see how much their community appreciates what their fathers, husbands and brothers do," says Mayor Carla Filkins.

The city hopes homes in Cadillac will turn their neighborhoods blue by buying a ‘Thin Blue Line Flag’ yard sign.
