We’re learning more details about a recovery on Big Bear Lake.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office says two men went to Big Bear Lake to check on ice conditions Saturday afternoon.
They spotted a snow covered car in the parking area and a minnow bucket out on the ice.
Deputies from the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with EMS Heavy Rescue and the Charlton Township Fire Department.
Heavy Rescue checked the ice and recovered the body of a 61-year-old Charlton Township man.
The investigation shows the man was fishing by himself.
The Otsego County EMS Director says the man was possibly in the water overnight.
Deputies have not yet released his name.
