Tustin Fire Department Battles Car Fire

A man and woman are OK after their truck caught fire late Friday night.

The Tustin Fire Chief says they got the call around 11:45.

A truck near 135th and County Line Road in Sherman Township was on fire.

Chief Robert Rose says a man and woman were in the car when their engine compartment started smoking and flames came into the truck.

They were both able to get out, but the fire chief says the man kept going back to the car to get stuff out and suffered minor burns on his arms.

Osceola County EMS transported him to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening-injuries.

The car is a total loss.
